As my friends know, I'm a big movie-buff. My father used to make me sit down for hours and watch movies with him. Some were great. Some were good. Some were..

I still love you dad!

So it comes to this:

Being the movie-buff that I am, I will be putting a true rating on my site. The 'Movie Rating' and the 'Music Rating' are the ratings I give this movie / album. Was it any good? Would I peruse it again? Did it suck so bad that I would want to use the DVD / CD as a frisbee?

But, given the true nature of my site, I just had to throw in the 'Fro Meter'. This meter recognizes the groove factor of the selected piece. The costumes, songs, dance selections, etc. will help me form a better rating for the 'Fro Meter'.

Keep in mind that a movie / album can be completely incredible, and have no groove factor at all. There are many movies and albums I think you should know about, and I want to include them on my site so you may know about them. They don't have to be groovy to be included. Thus, it is very possible to see a 'High Fro' on the normal rating, and a 'Low Fro' on the 'Fro Meter'.

The reverse is also true. There are bad movies and albums with enough groove to have a higher 'Fro Meter' rating. These groovy disasters may still be fun to watch at certain times, and I really do think you should know about them.

Here is a breakdown of the rating scale:

Number of Fros

Rating

Fro Meter

This is the cream of the crop! You must buy it!

Very groovy!

A must see! Try before you buy!

Stylin!

Still in the running. Has some flaws

Mostly shaggish..

Not what I'd call 'good' if you know what I mean

Very bland, but still had some funk!

And I watched this because...

Yawn.. Flat as a board.

So now that you know all there is to know about my rating scheme, why don't you go and see my reviews!
